Difference between private and shared SSL

The shared SSL is installed globally on Eicra Hosting servers and is conifgured for the shared server hostname and can be used  by all clients. However as the certificate is self-assigned your browser will consider it as a security issue and will ask visitors  for an approval to visit a page using security protocols.

The private SSL (which you can purchase) will be issued for your domain only and will be validated by a thrusted authority. That means all browsers will recognize your domain as owner of the certificate and the security protocol connection will be considered trusted.

If you would like to use SSL for your website, Eicra hosting always recommends the private SSL.
